@redkos For me it was Susan Dey from the Partridge family and I always loved Sally Field;she was such a cute little Nun in "The Flying Nun.Also Barbara Eden in "I Dream of Jeannie". lol

@pillroller88 in fact they did. IT was guitar player Ritchie Blackmore's grandmother's favorite song and she was always asking if they'd play it.

Deep purple is a description of the sky at night. This is actually a very sad song of a lost love.

When I met Donny and Marie in Las Vegas, during the show, they mentioned how Donny hated this song becuase of the high notes he had to sing. Nevertheless, he sang beautifully, and during the show, they really made the audience laugh with this song ;)
