@irishgodfatherchris The rules have only changed in the last 10 years about being in the delivery stride (which is only the 2 planting steps as you bowl not the full run-up) {Law 42.15}. When this happened it was perfectly legal for Kapil and still is as long as you havent planted your foot for the delivery.

@Vimojmohan I'm an umpire as well I know what the rules said and still say now, Dickie could pull rank on anyone even if they were purely because of the respect that he warranted and still warrants now.

@irishgodfatherchris - well how would u knw tat he wasnt reprimanded because of his reputation ? just because the icc en the match referee took a stand which u didnt like ? so u decided come up with ur own explanation , tat its because he is dickie bird. tats just a theory!!!!
