Presidential Motorcade in New York City - Friday March 14, 2008. Camera perspective is at the north-east corner of 7th Avenue and 54th Street (outside the New York Hilton) and captures all vehicles in the motorcade close-up as they exit the hotel from standing line-up, turn the corner at slow speed and proceed northbound on 7th Avenue.

President George W. Bush is waving to the camera person in the back window of the second official limousine (you can see his face an hand in the reflection of the rear corner window).

Note that the first limousine is a decoy, followed by the actual vehicle carrying the president.

This video is an excellent study in presidential motorcade dynamics and logistics in a congested urban setting.

The President is the leader of the friggin' free world. Any terrorist organization or outraged individual or country in the world could instantly gain a huge voice by attacking him. His position is easy to come by what with journalists all around him, making guessing his route easy. He'd be dead if he didn't travel with all that protection.
