Some people Like myself do not need dvdrw drives, I cannot remember the last time I used one perhaps when I installed my OS? better to strip the weight and use external when required.

doesn't have one, but the built in software works pretty good, just press fn-key then volume + or - and that' s it, and the lag is almost unnoticeable
