Well of course my retro and classic gaming interests extends to other media, such as my CD/DVD collection. Thought it might be interesting to throw this video together and show some of my collection. Maybe of interests, maybe not but what the heck, consider this a space filler video. Thanks for watching and as always love your comments, replies and feedback!

  • Would you mind telling where you got that Retro Joy Game & Watch Gallery parody?

  • @nensondubois I got the Retro Joy disc from issue 9 of Retrogamer magazine (as I mentioned) I don't understand what is meant by Game and Watch Gallery Parody?

  • @ Maximumrd the boxart for Game & Watch Gallery 1 have similarities that are definitely intentional. I'm not allowed to link an image, but a quick image search for Game & Watch Gallery 1 will show you what I mean better than my explanation.

  • @nensondubois Ah OK now I see. YES it is obvious that the cover art was intended to mimick the Game and Watch Cover art. I think since it is a Cover Disc from Retro Gamer Magazine they simply wished to copy and art style that would relate to retro gaming. You noticed it as you are more familiar with Game and Watch then I. For the record it is not a very good disc and none of the content is anything that cannot easily be found or downloaded, pretty much why they stopped doing coverdiscs.

  • Nice collection.

I recently discover Shane's radios shows, they're very good. I waiting for the full 10 year package of Retro Gaming radio before buying.

C64 Foreever: You should make a video review of that one, I would like to see if it's easier to use than the emulators.

  • I have found when closing a window running a game or demo I was prompted on how to close out, asked if I wanted to save etc, once the decision is made it may not ask you again. I haven't had time to use them in a while though so sorry I cannot be more specific. Should be in your documentation somewhere if not contact the team for help they are VERY accommodating.....

  • I am currently using C64 Forever, it is true that you can save game states without using a blank disk file..if so, how?

  • I may do that but I can assure you C64 emulation does not get easier then this package! Install, load interface, click on game or demo and your good to go! Got your own ROMS? Use import option and they are added (though they might end up under applications instead of games if they do not include proper info) STILL works great!

  • I have been going through the same phase with emulation cd's, retrogaming radio dvd's etc.

The HD Advance PS2 disc I got as well, together with a ethernet adapter and a 120Gb Harddrive it still runs in my ps2. Didn't go for the bootswap discs though.

  • Good question, nothing comes to mind at least of what is currently available that I can think of that fits the description. Bill Loguidice and Matt Barton authors of various classic videogame books are currently in the production stages of such a movie called :

W00t!: The Videogame Revolution, from Lux Digital Pictures, which will release worldwide in 2010 but as to what is currently available I cannot think what would match your description. IF ANYONE ELSE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE CHIME IN!
