To anyone saying white Americans are universally racist. I invite them to witness this story.

one thing that's not know, is this squad holds one record that NOONE else holds. this squad actually had 3 future nfl hall of fame players. no single college football team has ever had that many

I went to USF and I remember hearing/reading of this incredible injustice, and solidified my hatred of racism and the bullshit that made up alot of the thinking in the South, and the country as well. San Francisco has had racial problems, but is probably one of the more integrated and accepting cities in the country. Too bad its gotten to be too damn expensive to live there, but it was an amazing city. PROUD TO BE A DON, USF FOREVER!!!!!!!

San Francisco is a beautiful city. The University of San Francisco had a beautiful season in 1951 (as well as it being a beautiful school). But this terrible stipulation of leaving behind Black players just to go to a Bowl game was absolutely ugly and atrocious. Their program would probably still exist today had it not been for this terrible injustice. This was a powerful program crippled by that terrible "leave behind your Black players" stipulation in 1951. Great shame for such a great team.

They had to be really great with all those future Pro football All-Pros and Hall of Famers on it.
The 1951 University of San Francisco Dons Football Team is the Best Football Team in college History and the best team you never heard of. Undefeated, untied, uninvited. They were also called the Magnificent Eleven and the team cleary made a huge impact in college and the NFL. I wish one day they would make a movie about this remarkable football team.
