Personally I like Kyou's dub; however the dubber could have put a little more effort in making her voice sound a bit more professional. I've seen worser dubs people. Check out the non funimation dub for fairy tail. You'll shoot yourself.

@ProductionsEden I dislike Sentai... I bought the DVDs that were released before the dub (because I REALLY didn't wanna wait for a complete collection box... I wanted my Clannad NOW!!)... and on episode 15 of the After Story... they messed up the subtitles... bad... like... the audio and the subtitles were, like... 5-10 seconds out of sync. No, they were NOT pirated DVDs... they were the official ones... I got them from Best Buy >_>. Also, I'm unfamiliar with the western references.

@KittyCatRat I know. It wouldn't kill them to watch the series subbed and actually learn how to pronounce it correctly. And also, Sentai needs to stop making western references in the anime (e.g: Petsmart, Elmer's Glue, Sarah Palin). And finally, it you watch the part with Kotomi's "bonjour" scene, you can see the student who approaches them not saying anything...I wanna kill the script director more than anything

@ProductionsEden Again... the MAIN problem I have with most dubs... is that they can't pronounce the names right. Like when they called Ryou, "Roe"... come on, it can't be THAT hard to say it like "Rio"... at least that would be closer (and you wouldn't have to mimic the accent, either.). And Tomoya's name is NOT pronounced Tum-oi-ya... it's To-mo-ya. But... I have to at least give them credit for being at least 10x better than 4kids (they shouldn't be allowed to dub anime).

@ProductionsEden Well... I have a problem with Youhei Sunohara's voice, too. There are only 2 dubs I'm okay with watching... and that's Baka and Test and Full Metal Alchemist. With every other anime I've tried, they chose too many wrong VA's...

@mariox901 Like I said, I usually love dubs. It's just the few ones like this that urk me. The voices really don't match at all... The later episodes are way better I'll admit. But still not really up to par with the Japanese voices... If it makes you feel better, I prefer Full Metal Alchemist in English. The Japanese voices just don't work for me. It all balances out in the end.
