  • This is not a Backdraft (Hence the free burning fire to the rear). This is a text book smoke explosion had this been a "Backdraft" the individual who opened the door would have been thrown from the force of the explosion and Fire also would have rushed to the point of introduced oxygen.

  • HAHAHA Love the guy in the yellow shirt who named himself fire chief and started barking orders hahaha

  • Oh no I burned my fried chicken...

  • Order up a second rescue, yellow shirt's gonna give himself a hydrant induced stroke!

  • Excellent footage of explosion. Perfect for training.

  • @GooglFascists

i don't mean to break your balls, but with everything ive seen, very few times does the garden hose do more than put the good hearted in danger

  • This was a flashover in the attic, most likely not a "backdraft". Otherwise the occupant would not have come out of the house on his own. Flashovers kill more firemen than backdrafts. So now the firemen have a fully involved attic fire and lightweight construction....... I hope none of the men got hurt.

  • wow all i can say is never try to enter a burning building now i know why we had that drilled in our heads in elementary school

  • @Squad10312 Not all backdrafts have so much force they would throw a person. this isnt hollywood. The force changes with different variables such as the size of the room, the amount of heat and fuel and the speed and amount of oxygen introduced. But either way id have to agree with you about the smoke explosion. I would guess the smoke and heat from the fire made its way into the attic space and then once the fire burned threw to the attic you got what you saw, but im not professional.

  • Sad, but typical scene at a residential fire in a neighborhood.

  • Lesson: Should have just put the fire out yourself when it was small then wait for the fire trucks.
