Décio Caetano ao vivo em Buenos Aires‏ .

Sobre Décio Caetano Blues Band

In the cotton plantations of the delta of the Mississippi, in the United States, the blues was born, created by slaves who used to sing melodies of faith at work. Décio Caetano was born in Goioerê, a small town in the northwestern of Paraná, which for a long time took the title of the cotton capital in Brazil. He met the blues in a train to Ribeirão Preto, where it would happen the International Blues Festival. This trip changed his life forever, after hearing the great masters playing the blues, he knew what he wanted to do. With the support of André Christovam, he started to take guitar classes with Marcus Rampazzo, who teached him the firsts steps to his blues journey. Décio became one of the most recent revelations of national blues after reaching a mature and accurate work in music in his fourth disc I Cant Stop (2007). The path of the musician began in churches in the state, where he developed and perfected the blues gospel. Décio Caetano took this influence to Maringá, where he formed the bands White Boots and Friends of Blues, launching his three firsts albums. The coming to Curitiba represented a big step for the guitarist and after ten months in the capital he was invited to take part of the Big Band Soulution Orchestra, which won the award for the best band in the Heineken Blues Festival in Curitiba. Décio Caetano interprets the authentic blues from Chicago, filled with force in his voice and poisonous solos of guitar. He has already played with great musicians as the harmonica player Robson Fernandes, the guitarists André Christovam, Igor Prado, Felipe Cazaux and Gabriel Gratzer from Argentina (the ambassador of the blues in Latin America), the pianist Adriano Grineberg, Carlos May, Flávio Guimarães, Mariano Cabreira, Obheijah (Mississippi-Usa) and Reverend Womack Jr. (Atlanta-USA). Today, Décio dedicates himself to compose and record new songs, his agenda has a lot of shows and his mind and soul are full of inspiration to play and live the blues every day.
