I was in the audience that night. BBC recording for the Live from the Stables series. Amy singing with the John Dankworth big band. She seemed such a little girl but with the biggest voice that fronted that amazing band with ease - stunning stuff. How sad we have now lost this incredible talent so young.

I remember reading one of Amy's interviews, she said she wanted to release a traditional Jazz album. So I'm thinking it would've sounded something like this? It makes me really sad to think we could've heard something this amazing but in studio quality, but we never will.

A truly natural talent, with an astounding ability to dig right into the essense of a song, deliver it with aplomb and improvise in ways that make the performance unforgettable. Wow! I can't say enough about her voice; her style; her emotive ability to DELIVER to the audience. Incredible!
