For several months now, videos "known" as "Snake Style" Tai chi chuan are beginning to flourish on the web (YouTube, Dailymotion, etc ...).

You may have had oral transmission of certain principles, without really understanding them and embody them!

To watch them now with a more experienced eye, it is perhaps worth recalling at least two essential principles in the practice of Tai Chi Chuan coming from Yang Chen Fu, Yang Sau Chung and Ip Tai Tak: * Lower the shoulders and drop the elbows. THE SHOULDERS DO NOT RISE, NEVER. (5th principle of YCF, translated by Chen weiming). * THE BUTTOCKS ARE NOT POINTING TO THE SKY, NOT STANDING OUT,it has the effect of emptying the lumbar area, and the coccyx is no more related to ground support. We are loosing our roots, we become "floating".

Regardless of the tai chi chuan, every teacher who "exhibits his buttocks" has not any credibility, as he is master or disciple!


That is what practitioners having just one year of teaching and weekly practice could already practise to "see" and obviously not to do.
