I got inspired by the newest movie. First I made the star and blood texture in Gimp, then I made the model in Blender 2.5 and that's it.
The metal (scratches) texture is taken from here: http://cgtextures.com/texview.php?id=5043&PHPSESSID=cl1mta6cdnoki7q33g73u...
And the blood splatter brushes for Gimp were made by wickedjess and some are part of: http://code.google.com/p/gps-gimp-paint-studio/
