I'm sure the stuff tastes great but it's seriously behind the times to still be using cans. Imagine having to stuff a few of those big gray boxes in you pack for a hot days' walk around Kunar province. They are just too big and bulky.

The future is in self -heating bags and envelopes, It can be just too much headache humping those things around. And the good old heat tab stove can be a real headache in bad weather. Assuming daily resupply airdrops is nice but...

I have tried them, including American MRE, I feel that British Army ration packs are pretty complete for 24 hours use, I would have to say I prefer British ones.
