I got goosebumbs watching this. Because this was the first year I had watched a Miss USA pageant as a little girl. I must've been 8 and seeing this meant so much to me at the time because although I am mixed, I am brown-skinned. Not as brown skinned as Kenya, but I'm not light either. And usually we see light skinned beauty queens which is great to. And I was happy for them to when they won to. But Kenya was so gorgeous and eloquent and strong! Seeing her as youngin meant a lot!

Kenya had one of the most sincere and memorable reactions when announced as the new Miss USA, I remember this pageant as if it was yesterday!
