Aero-TV: Southeast Aerospace Intro's TRIG TT21 and TT31 Transponders

Versatile New Transponders Arrive On Scene

One of the cool new offerings spied a few weeks ago at the AEA 2009 Convention were a pair of new Transponders being repped by Southeast Aerospace. Southeast Aerospace is a factory authorized sales & service center for a great number of manufacturers. and is also approved and certified by many other aircraft OEMs and maintenance organizations. Southeast Aerospace is located at Melbourne International Airport (KMLB) on Florida's Space Coast.

The Trig Model TT21 is a unique compact remote mount Mode S transponder system with a total weight of just over 1 lb. It is a '2 Part System' and includes an integrated altitude encoder, and features low power consumption, is a European Mode S compliant unit designed for light aviation. It is an ED-73B Class 2 compliant Mode S level 2 datalink transponder, with support for extended squitter, with an LCD Display, easy to use rotary knobs, requires only minimal panel space, and can be installed in a standard 2ΒΌ" cut-out. The TT21 supports ADS-B out.

The Trig Model TT31 is a standard size Class 1 Mode S transponder. The TT31 fits in the same mounting tray as the KT76A transponder, making it a great choice for either upgrades or new installations. The TT31 is a European Mode S unit featuring low power consumption,
no cavity tube, and plug and play installation. It utilizes a backlit LCD display, easy to use rotary knobs, and offers a timer/stopwatch function, altitude monitor, and Certified 1090ES ADS-B out capabilities. The TT31 is TSO approved for European and FAA registered aircraft.
