Thanks for making this! Brings back great memories of this great little chain.

I thought it was Taco Bell who bought them out? Our location near our house in Gardena, CA became a Taco Bell in 85

White and black americans who usto work at fast food places who could afford houses and apartments to live in, wow what a concept!!!

@droog83 That might have been the one. I was living near Compton in the mid-70's but I was too young to remember any of the details. I think there was a Pup 'n' Taco on Long Beach Blvd in Lynwood or South Gate.

My mom had a friend who was shot in the drive-thru at the one in Compton during a robbery but she can't recall of any employees being murdered.

@gjc82071 Wow, I actually thought it was real. I'm an admitted "retroholic" who loves early 70's thru mid 80's culture (video games, movies, commercials, etc). I literally had a hard time distinguishing whether this was real or fake. I actually did think it was a real commercial, but couldn't tell if it was old or modern. Anyway, it's really cool. BTW, who made it, do you know?
I vaguely remember some employees being murdered in a robbery at a Pup 'n' Taco. Was this true and at what location?

@lincbond442 Don't know about any murders... But, the idea sounds good for a movie....D

is this a "real" commercial or a joke? Actually, that's not what I mean, but, is it real though? What I really mean is, is it a modern commercial done in a retro style, or is it really, just an old commercial? Either way, it's pretty cool!
