Glenn Martin and his team showing off their one of a kind machine. We were lucky enough to have a presentation by Glenn on the design and history of his jetpack.

  • Yeah, but, will it blend?

  • airwalker13 don't be such a fcukin wining little bitch - no one wants to read your Nazi comments.Yes im sure one day we will look back on this and laugh BUT you need innovators who have the clout to get out there and have a go - The Wright Bros first attempt wasn't exactly a F35 Lightning II was it - and if you were there im sure you would be the little turd at the back mumbling under your breath "this is shit - this isn't going anywhere"!!! ;~]

  • Sure is fucking LOUD. jesus!

  • 1941's gon be pissed off when they see this vid.

  • Fuck me...

  • @DieselDownunder I see that the Martin engineers are now strapping a useless test DUMMY onto their so called Jetpack. That would make you the perfect candidate for that job! You should seriously consider applying. From your previous comment on this topic it's obvious you have the qualities they are looking for. Please note, I used no profanity to insult you. Have a good day mate!

  • @sqgl Yes,admittedly it does fly well in IDEAL WEATHER CONDITIONS...sunny day no cross winds! BUT it has too many highly stressed rotating parts to be reliable and NO REDUNDANT SYSTEMS for air safety, other than a ballistic parachute. I predict that between its immense maintenance and upkeep costs coupled with unbelievably high insurance premiums it will be short lived if ever introduced to the general public. The vintage Hiller Flying Platform was a better, less complicated idea.

  • @airwalker13 There is now a video of it climbing to 5000ft. I think we can agree there is no "ground effect" at that height. Check @MartinJetPack

  • @fsjal1 those are jet engines not propellers :P

  • its not a jetpack. it would be a helipack

  • Wait a couple 20 years, we'll have jetpacks like in the movies. You know, kinda quiet and small.

  • very impressive unit. looked extremely mobile and agile
