Diggler's (News Report)

This is a news report about police harassing Diggler's All Ages Club. Diggler's was a smoke free, drug free, and alcohol free club that was open during 1998 in Bowling Green, Ky. The video documents the time the club was shut down for good. Somebody with some pull didn't like the club being around. Some of the bands that played Diggler's include: Hatebreed, Groovie Ghoulies, Earth Crisis, Nothingface, Candiria, The Veins, The Malignmen, Famous Monsters, Half Sloppy, Pimpslap, Mr. Neutron, ect...

@shagadelic28 It had a couple of locations at least. It started out on Old Louisville Road and ended up moving to a side street off Broadway, which was the site of this incident. Before setting up in that neighborhood, Jim talked to several of the residents and asked if they minded him setting up there. No one objected when he asked. It was a really nice idea for that town.

This is one of the reasons I left Bowling Green. The place is a corrupt police state. There is nothing for kids to do in that town except get into trouble, and the unnecessary army of good old boy cops that harass anyone taking a walk after dark want to keep it that way. Jim tried to give kids a fun place to hang out, and I know for a fact that he kept the place alcohol, smoke, and drug free. I know people who have been arrested there for making eye contact with a cop.

Welcome to Bowling Green, KY. Being a college town these cops HATE college kids and love to harass them. I know when cops down here break up a college party they wait outside and arrest people for PI as soon as they walk out and they walk out because the pissed off cop in the house told them to.

Sounds like the cops here in Alabama. If it was a church or bluegrass show they can get as loud as they want. Most cops are bullies.
