Why did it take the pilot soo long to rotate? You almost went swimming. Islanders need literally nothing to takeoff.

A little bit of both. I am a pilot, but not for an airline. My girlfriend is a pilot for an airline and I was right-seating with her on a trip to St. Maarten. She was the pilot on this flight.

We were so loaded down!! Full passengers and taking luggage from our flight and a flight who had left ahead of ours. WinAir was completely backed up. Even the pilot argued against taking any more with the ground crew!!
