Taking off from St. Barths RWY 10. Taken from the right seat of a Britten Norman Islander. A full runway departure in a heavy Islander right over St. Jean beach. A gorgeous takeoff at a gorgeous island!!

  • are you a pilot for an airline or is that your plane? Thanks for the response

  • A little bit of both. I am a pilot, but not for an airline. My girlfriend is a pilot for an airline and I was right-seating with her on a trip to St. Maarten. She was the pilot on this flight.

  • We were so loaded down!! Full passengers and taking luggage from our flight and a flight who had left ahead of ours. WinAir was completely backed up. Even the pilot argued against taking any more with the ground crew!!

  • Awesome take off!

  • VR was a little bit late for my liking - nearly hit the drink there!

  • lol they shud have arrester wires and a catapult on that runway lol!

  • knütterbüx^^

  • lol nice takeoff, i can see the pilot even needed to rev the plane before releasing the brakes

  • Why did it take the pilot soo long to rotate? You almost went swimming. Islanders need literally nothing to takeoff.
