It is more likely that it was slowing down because during the pickup both the ship and helicopter are going pretty fast.

Ok, keeping in mind this story is somewhat like playing the old "telephone" game... The woman standing next to me, as I stood next to the person filming this... told me the woman was walking through one of the club areas. She did not realize she was walking off a step and tripped. It happened so quickly she had no chance to attempt to stop her fall and hit the floor face on, full speed.

just received info that she passed away.
It is sad.
A cruise employee told me that there is a death on most passages, but it still feels sad.
When it is my to go, that is where I would like to go, on a cruise ship in the ocean.
