It is common knowledge that the Classical Age was followed by many centuries of utter stagnation and decline with virtually nothing happening but wars and famine and the destruction of the priceless ancient monuments. Then, during the Renaissance, the Classical authors re-appear from oblivion, Latin and Greek become resurrected as the intelligentsia Esperanto of the Middle Ages, numerous manuscripts re-appear from oblivion to be copied, enter wide circulation, and vanish again, never to be found.

How preposterous would it be to suggest that there were no Dark Ages to separate the antiquity from the Renaissance - that the "Re-naissance" was in fact the naissance of the Western European culture as we know it? It does contradict everything that we may ever have learnt about history. However, new methods offered by empirical statistics and developed by Anatoly Fomenko, the Russian mathematician, and his colleagues, provide plenty of evidence to support the theory that the Dark Ages are a phantom.

  • No King Arthur didn't exist during the Dark Ages. He existed during the Middle Ages and was Pagan not Christian. The Druids existed during the Middle Ages not the Dark Ages. Nudity was common during the Dark Ages and Middle Ages up until the 16th century.

  • There was a Dark Age but it was very different from what anyone learned in school. The Bacchic cult was common in the Dark Ages. Nudity was a normal way of life in the Dark Ages. Many festivals took place that consisted of orgies, and sexually erotic events. That is one reason why the Catholic Church is hiding the "Dark Ages" Marriage was unheard of then. No one got married. Marriage is a Christian concept developed in the 16th century. War was rare during the Dark Ages despite modern theory.

  • Rulers value nothing. They create nothing but control and superficially enjoy everything produced by those with real talents and intelligences. They are destroyers and nihilists. Consumed by hatreds and bad faith. Each civilization end up the same: destroyed. Until earth's natural physics rights itself eventually and the survivors manage to begin multiplying again. This is how I understand history.People need to get over needing leaders. Maturity doesn't need a mama or papa.

  • Our own civilization is in a dark age right now. Knowledge is hoarded from the people because the ruling class hoards it. There is compelling evidence that technology is advanced more than 100 years in advance of what is shared with the public.. For example: Flying saucers consist of MAN MADE propulsion technology. Radio technology and magnetic resonance technology is 100 years in advance of what the public knows. Likewise other technologies. Mankind is kept uninformed terrorized and enslaved.

  • He's basing it on an extremely simplistic understanding of history.

I also wonder how he deals with the documents themselves, and their internal dating. Like, a writer might explicitly date his book at 1450.

  • The assumption of this video are totally wrong, and made by someone who evidently NEVER studied history, especially when it says: "it is common knowledge tha the classical age was followed by many centuries... of decline with nothing happening..." this part is ridiculous. The fact that Rome fell down, doesn't mean the world stopped and in China they were not alive! Only westerners can be so ethnocentrically (racistically) blinded.
