  • hell would love to have been part of the camera crew

  • @yambo59 i couldn't say it better myself

  • Lol the show has the same special effects(when the train is starting off) as the movie the great locomotive chase!!! :)

  • Great show.

  • Man, this is epic! And the ending and beginning theme is catchy. GO CASEY!!!!!!!!!

  • Im 51 yrs old and still love trains. But Ill tell ya one reason why an old show like this is good -- it may look lame by todays standards, but it tought a kid responsibility, values and ethics--- something todays society for the most part doesnt - . This show is akin to an old western, but trains instead of horses- There seems to be a life lesson in every episode, its leave it to beaver on rails-lol

  • Russell Johnson was a heavy in most of the western tv series, as well as the movies. He was mainly a dramatic actor, but went into comedy later (you go where the money is). It wouldn't really surprise me to see Ginger, Mary Ann, and the Howells somewhere in this series, as short as it was.

  • LOL The Professor & The Skipper before Gilligan's Island

  • Wow! Haven't seen this since Adam was a lad. Marginally less feeble than the average by-the-yard kids telly- or perhaps I'm still swayed by the trains.

I couldn't recall a thing about the cast, hell- I've already forgotten them again, but the trains stuck. Even in the '70s it seemed odd that the Cannonball should always run with the same rake and the same load on that flat.

All the train footage for a series was probably shot in the same week.

  • This show is so bad it's good. ;)
