CSX, Norfolk Southern & New Jersey Transit - Roselle Park, NJ

Check out the view from the NJT Roselle Park station as CSX, NS & NJT trains pass through. Roselle Park is where the ex LV Lehigh Line & the ex CNJ Raritan Valley line merge as one.

It wasn't always the case though, until 1967, the CNJ trains would continue on their own ROW all the way to Jersey City and the waterfront terminal which is now Liberty State Park. The Aldene Plan changed all of that. A connection was built , allowing trains on the CNJ (today, the NJT Raritan Valley Line) to travel from Cranford through stations at Roselle Park and Union to the Hunter Connection outside Newark, which in turn allows access to the Northeast Corridor and Newark Penn Station. The freight trains continue on the ex LV ROW past the Hunter Connection to Newark & Oak Island Yard.

Why don't the F40's pull the bi-levels they are just as powerful as the PL42AC and P40's

@septa8500 I would love to agree with you but F40's are strong enough to pull superliners, but maybe the 2-CAT's aren't as strong as the PH's
