NIDAN - Gates Foundation - Part 1 - AGRA

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has embarked on a mission to transform African agriculture. It helped to set up the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa in 2006, and since then has spent $1.3 billion on agricultural development grants. The foundation is focusing on research into single use, non-organic, hybrid seeds, while ignoring locally adapted seed and small-scale sustainable ecological farming. The genetically engineered seed can only be used once, and those promoting it are also advocating the use of other chemical input.

you can't get rich off poor farmers trying to feed themselves, their families and their own people. but you can get richer using them as guinea pigs to try "new improved" frankenseed that will be sold to western farmers who buy their seed instead of collecting it- like the 3rd worlders do...
