  • @Sayritupaq I don't know who you're looking at, but they look Native to me.

Sorry if you're that easily confused by pale skin. A briefer on colonization should help you figure out why not all Natives "look" Native.....

  • @pappufi3 no they arent sorry

  • @Sayritupaq they are the natives

  • They should be NATIVES???

  • This is called the "Lyle Island song".

  • This is beautiful, I do wish that the speech that Roberta Kennedy gave, was also on the tape. For the speech of why they were there is the reason for being there, the song is part of the Haida heritage in telling who they are, in this case, the Raven Clan.

Haa'aa though for presenting this part at least, it was beautifully performed. Do you have a recording of the entire representation, from the time Ms. Kennedy starting talking?

  • It's probably because we live in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. We haven't lived in the south for a few years now. We miss the coast, the ocean, the halibut! Our people. One day we'll visit again, hopefully soon! -KwiiGeIiWans

  • Never seen them in my life and i lived here for 19 years. and never heard those voices before.. but it says hair on the title

  • HI,

These two are mother and daughter-Roberta Kennedy and Martin (her daughter). We're from Masset. We belong to the Raven clan. The person who taped this video did not ask permission, and didn't let us know they were posting it on YouTube.

We were protesting the Alberta tar sands and how the AB govt is taking our water to clean them. They're not replacing the water, in fact contaminated water is seeping back into our water and it's making people sick.

  • Just wondering, who is singing??
