  • when is it going to happen. There are 9 bids for every property out there.

  • I invest for a living...and the one thing my sources are usually pretty good about is predicting the near future....and unfortunately they are saying Australia and Canada have huge real estate bubbles that will soon burst.....obviously you know that.....but according to my sources it will be worse than the USA in both canada and australia.......we will see

  • I wouldn't be comparing to 1990. You should be looking at 1980 where the rates were close to 20% when houses were at 100k. Look at gold now, $1200. We are looking at hyper inflation. Our collapse is going to be bigger. Houses are not going up due to value, but the flood of cheap money.

  • does Canadian sub-prime include the speculators who pre-purchased condos on the "hope" they will rise in value and flip for easy money? These people can't afford to own 3 or 4 new condo's when they don't sell due to "softening" of prices. It's a house of cards about to fall. The tipping point? When the real estate values fall to 75% of peak, then the banks will get nervous - many investments will become toxic assets with owners "under water" - sound familiar?
