  • Ahem - no, almost 6 sec slower than the R8, by this driver on this track, and almost 3 sec slower than Cayman. Faster than a GT-R? No how, no way, ever, on any surface. Maybe the poster meant the Nimso 370.

  • @10243612B

its faster around the track than a nissan GT-R and only 0:00:01 slower than an audi r8 5.2

  • By the engine rpm sound, I think the driver keeps the rpm's too low (most of the time)! Thanks

  • The Mustang Boss 302 blows this away 1:40.21

  • It is a canadian car idiots! It is built exclusively in Canada in the most advanced plants GM has. Nothing like built in the US! LOL!

  • I am not a MT fan but this is an excellent series. A track test is always the best way to show an overall performance potential of a car. I also like Randy Post , it was cool to see is hand positions through turns and listen to his comments at the end.

  • That first driver reminds me of the driver in the "bad guy's car" in Bullett...

  • @RayCottrell no it not

  • sounds like a lawn tractor

  • Well, the Cayman is not that much slower in acceleration than the Camaro SS these days. The Cayman traps in the 1/4 mile around 109mph to the Camaro's 110-112 mph.

I feel that the Camaro did pretty well actually @ a 1:45.7xx on Laguna Seca with its really narrow front tires (245's on a 3800lb car?!) and you can get one for around $31k NEW.

A few choice handling mods will transform the Camaro into a much more balanced car overall.
