Meet a Kohlrabi and find out a bit of information about them.
This video is purely entertaining with a bit of information placed in there. I thought it to be a more interesting way of showing kohlrabi rather than just more shots of us planting and harvesting it.
I'm curious to hear your comments.

  • I saw Kohlrabi at the store and I wanted to know how to prepare it this video helped thank you.

  • @Rubystars1000 Good to hear. How did you end up having the kohlrabi? What did you think of it?

  • @Bestleeks

I washed it, peeled it, cut it up and ate it raw! It's good I love it. It tastes a little sweet and like a mix of cucumber and carrot to me. I can imagine it would taste good in a stir fry, I'll try that some time soon. Next I think I will try some steamed though. The ones I bought didn't come with the tops, but if I find some with tops are those edible too?

  • @Rubystars1000 Yes you can eat the tops. Use the tops the same way you would use kale.

  • I discovered kohlrabi this year when I saw seeds in the store and the front of the package said "easy to grow." I thought: that's my kind of vegetable, and I've been planting them and buying them from the farm market ever since. No need to sell me on it. Even creepy talking ones won't scare me off at this point.

  • @kepstein8888 I never intended the kohlrabi to be creepy. I hope he's not scaring others away.

He's not creepy to me. He's cute. I also like the Aussie accent. :)

  • The kohlrabi is one of the most important vegetable for the chicken and noodle soup. Because I cannot find any at the shops I started to use the swede but I still miss the kohlrabi. I love it. As soon as I'll have a garden I'll buy some seeds.

  • @Bestleeks Nah. Only kidding about that part. He seems like a friendly ol' chap...I don't understand why kohlrabi's not as popular in the states as other places. I guess it's like football and football.

  • Kohlrabi ist so gesund und lecker
