  • well, my Japanese teach who has lived in japan all her life, and is japanese said to never call the japanese, 'japs' because it was considered just as racial as calling a black person a "nigger"

  • Historically yeah, and I guess it depends what country your from.

I have a couple of Japanese friends (I am Australian), as they/we often call Japanese "japs" but thankfully we here seem to be more evolved than other countries when it comes to social regards, and the term is recognised by many as similar to 'aussies' as being Australian.

I never mind if a foreigner call me 'jap'.

and I realy don't know why a black angry when s/he is called 'niger'.

I think, a Japanese who don't know about racism very much is not rare.
