Here is another video of my old 1967 Mustang Junior gas powered promotional car built by the Powercar company of Mystic CT back in 67.
These were used by dealers to attract customers into their showrooms by the children dragging them in to get a free test drive in a Junior.
Of course while they waited in line Mom and Dad were easy picking for salesmen trying to sell full size cars.
sometimes dealers would then have prize drawings and would give the little cars away when the kids would fill out the form that gave the salesmen Mom and Pops name, address, phone number etc. so that the salesman could contact them for years to come.

Go to http://www.jrcentral.com for more information on powered promotional cars. And if you are looking for parts to restore one or build one from scratch a list of available parts can be found at http://www.jrcentral.com/resources.html

These are not power wheels they are much bigger and more detailed.

  • where did you get that!!!!!

  • @gordo6984 I bought it in Detroit from another collector about 15 years ago and then restored it making many of the replacement parts myself. I now make Bodies for this one and two other Mustangs. Watch my other videos.

  • goddammit that looks like fun... a go kart that looks like a 65 mustang. I really want one now....

  • Actually this video shows a 1967 Mustang but I am building a 1966 now using an original gas powered frame and a replacement body made frame the original factory mold that was used to make the 1965 and 66 bodies. Once I get that car up and running I will be posting a lot more videos. You can actually see the body in one of my other videos. and the engine in another. I will also be showing a brand new 1967-68 Mustang body here shortly.

  • Is it possible to make a car similar to this with a kart chassis? *Whirr*
