Don't bother commenting if you're going to say "you're mean, let him out." If you think this is mean, then you know nothing about dog training. Ask any trainer or read any book (really, ANY book about dog training) and it will tell you that for young puppies, confinement is safer than letting them roam free. Puppies are very good at getting into trouble and can kill themselves easily if left unattended free in the house. Eventually, Loki will settle down and learn to love his playpen. It will be his safe haven. So don't tell me I'm cruel. If you spend even five minutes researching dog training, you will see that confinement is kind. If you haven't done any research, you shouldn't own a dog, much less tell others how to raise theirs.

  • it almost seems mean to restrict its movements by putting it behind bars. the sweet little thing should run free ^^

  • fortunately it was only temporary... he's housetrained now and doesnt need the playpen anymore

  • I got my info from his breeder, from the Humane Society (where I go for training classes), from the vet, and from several books (one of the best was Before and After Getting Your Puppy by Dr. Ian Dunbar). It was really hard to resist him! But everything I read and heard said that responding to their whining is the wrong thing to do and will only slow down their adjustment.

  • He's sweet. Seems hes like he's a little lonely. The housebreaking part is always the hardest..

  • I would probably feel bad and just get it out :p

  • I have two Paps myself and they were harder to housebreak then the other breeds I have. It looks like your dog is in a "pen" and not one of those pet carrier things. It's putting them in those carriers at home that seems cruel...perhaps cruel is too harsh...mean maybe? I couldn't/wouldn't use one of those carriers for confinement at home. The pen is so much better.

  • Confinement is the best thing to do with your puppy. This teaches housetraining and you will confine even when yur at home when your dog is still a puppy. When you believe your dog s hourstrained ths sn longer necassary!

  • @hakkaigurl4life hes a papillon :3

  • @nurita4 then you would have a dog that psse and poops all over the place. He is doing this correctly, back off

  • How about you not tell me what i will and will not comment. just kidding. what kind of puppy is he. he is so cute

  • aw so adorable, how old is he/she now? also, i have an australian cattle dog and with her, she just jumps ova the play pen no matter wat we do, shes so cute yet crazy, luv ya tashe :P

  • @lppunksk8er412

Yes, a phalene can be born in a litter from two papillon parents and with papillon siblings. However, you also have to wait and see, because all papillons take a different amount of time to grow, and her ears may just be a little slower to go up. If not, a phalene is that same as a papillon in every other way, just with the flop-ears...

  • How old is he here?<3 xx :)

  • Why would u film that :| dickheads

  • Hey I'm getting a dog and my parents are helping me to just to say can a dog that is small or medium range live in a play pen with toys and a bed because I will be at school but after school I will take it out of the pen plaease reply asap
