How to make cheap bo-shuriken/throwing spikes

Since SO many of you have asked, here it is. Its just a tutorial on a cheap way to make some 10 cent spikes.

This is a bo shuriken (throwing spike), the throwing stars are shuken (or hira) shuriken.

You will need: knitting needles, 20 grit sandpaper :P

quick note. that wrapping technique for the string is called whipping..
