VBmatch.com introduces a new volleyball format called "Swinger's Volleyball." This format has two rule changes: (1) balls that land inside the 10-foot-line are "out" and (2) no blocking. Watch this video to see why these rule changes are necessary to motivate top players and even pros to swing more, rather than rely on dinks, shots, rolls, cuts, bumpkills, over-on-1, over-on-2, serves that dribble over the net, hits that roll along the net, and other lucky plays to win points.
What we need in the sport is two teams that are more evenly matched like Dalhausser/Rogers and Scott/Hyden were this year. However, in addition to that, we need one player of the four who is a reall cocky SOB who will say things across the net to the other team and get them saying things as well. In terms of actual gameplay, their matches are just as good as Smith/Stoklos vs Hovland/Dodd, but the difference is that the Hov would usually start something with Smith/Stoklos if he was losing.

Personally, I like variety in the game. If everyone is hitting hard all of the time, then hard-driven balls just become commonplace. Rogers excites audiences with his ability to dig and control hard driven hits and pick up everybody's shots. Rosenthal excites audiences with his ability to absolutely destroy the ball down the line like he did in Manhattan this year. Dalhausser amazes people with his hands, serves, and blocks.
