Introduction and Tarantella by Sarasate -- Ann Fontanella (HD)

Introduction and Tarantella by Sarasate played by Ann Fontanella. Informal/casual performance at UPenn 3/24/09. This is the second half of the performance, the "Tarantella".
A "tarantella" is a riveting and intense piece inspired by the dance performed after being bitten by a spider to, according to legend, act as an antidote to the poison. The result is unrelenting and manic driving intensity. Some people play this song in a playful manner, but I think the correct interpretation (and Sarasate's interpretation) is in this rapid-fire intense tempo. Hope you agree....
