Marc Smith, host of WNRN's Grateful Dead & Friends radio show, has a habit of making elaborate Halloween costumes. Three years ago, he was the Jamcruise, complete with working discos and smoke stack. Two years ago, he was "A Phish show at Hampton Coliseum", the outside of which he brought to Hampton on Friday, March 6, 2009 to celebrate Phish's first show back after a five year break.
The original costume included a DVD player worn inside the costume (with a Hampton DVD playing) and mini glowsticks hanging from strings. Those were left behind this time.
Here's a little video of his walk through the line of fans waiting for the doors to open on Friday afternoon.
You can listen to the Grateful Dead and Friends radio show on radio stations around Virginia and online at http://wnrn.rlc.net each Saturday morning from 9 AM until Noon (EST).
