I've always heard this song finishing in that truncated way, no gradual fading, no change of tone... so I wonder, is the song really like that? does the official version ends in that truncated, seemingly unfinished way? or is there a "finished" version?

what is ace about htis album cover is the guy in the top left of the shot... I think its a guy in a hard hat.....legend has it no-one knows who he is - I think they must have just been in the background at the time and no one realised......... ;) top song

@southernfriedchick it is indeed true! Before the Supergrass site that was run by the band shut down, there was a special page dedicated to that man as no one know's who he is!
