  • @MrTracythomas1 She's the greatest actress of every time... <3

  • listen to him Serafina!!

  • My acting coach knew what was going on the set--she said that the scene when Anna's charater is told her husband is dead was shattering--instead of yelling and screaming AM gave greater weight to the scene by her eyes and saying "no, no!

  • Anna, Romy Schneider and Ingrid bergman---three greatest cinema actresses of all time. NATURAL--NO ARTIFACE.

  • She is beautiful. Mt favorite scene is not here. I gotta a strega living next door!!! Just like her.

  • @MrTracythomas1 I think Anna has true beauty that comes from within. She's not your typical pretty barbie doll actress, but she is beautiful in her own way.

  • Anna Magnani is the goddess worshipped by ancient Greeks & Romans, real, earthy, painful, guilty, shameful, beautiful, & sexual. Woman.

  • i saw this wonderful movie such a long time ago, and it has always stood out in my memory.

  • @MrTracythomas1 I see what you mean...but personally I find her quite beautiful, not pretty, but beauti-ful in a beautiful way. I think her intelligence, strength and emotional depth, make her stand out anyway.

  • @ScarlettOBeara totally agree with you! totalmente d'accordo con te! And you know, she was a great person in real life too, she brought up her son Luca all by herself (her boyfriend at the time, a quite famous Italian actor, left her when she told him she was pregnant), and she battled to give Luca her surname. It was really difficult at that time to be a single mother in Italy...also, an independent- woman like her was seen as a threat, a de-stabilising figure for post-war patriarchal society.
