I don't think John was taking credit for inventing this shot. In fact, I don't recall ever hearing him say that he invented any shot and often gave credit to the originator if he knew who it was. However, he IS smart enough to see the value of a great shot! Thanks for letting the viewers (and me) know where it did originate. I can't say I'm surprised to learn that it came from Eddie Taylor.

Dave, actually Mr. 400 can't take credit for that shot. That shot is a very OLD shot, circa Eddie "Knoxville Bear" Taylor. I first picked up this shot a couple years ago from an old Willie Jopling One Pocket instructional tape, and he mentions this shot came from Eddie Taylor. It *is* very effective when hit at the proper speed, and will put a threat right next to your hole, if not outright pocketing the ball and winning the game in one fell swoop.

Nahhh... I don't stand a chance against Mr. 400 - John is good friend and that is my favorite quote of his - that shot WAS well worth the price of admission !!!

I think that means he doesn't like to lose, lol. Find someone who does and you may need to take a number and fall in line to get a game!
