X-Men Mutant Apocalypse - 12 - Magneto (Gambit)

This game rocked back in the day!

I lost my cool towards the end (after missing an easy upper card) and got hit badly, but recovered and won.

Basically, Gambit sucks air to ground, so I skip getting attacked while in the air.

If you are below Magneto by the time he's going to decide his next attack, then he won't use the energy ball. So I try to be on a platform by then, otherwise, I jump.

If he does the energy ball and you are on a platform, if you jump towards him you can fall below him and use the upper card. If you are on the ground, Up+Y to evade then upper card does the trick.

If he does the metal plates and you are on a platform, I don't wait there and Up+Y since there's a good chance at least one of the plates will hit me, or I miss the timing, etc. Instead I jump down, not all the plates will go after me (sometimes none), so I have an easier time destroying them with Up+Y and use the upper card to counter.

And if am on the ground, again, I don't wait there and Up+Y. I jump to "confuse" the plates, but timing it so I have time to do the Up+Y before getting hit by the plates that manage to go after me. Even then there's a chance to fail, but it's so much lower than having the four go after you.

Finally, if the four go after you, you have more chances if you don't move after doing the Up+Y, if you move you'll most likely run into a plate.

The upper card is not the only way to damage Magneto but this works for me.

its sad how bad i was at videogames when i was younger. i thot i was good but this game was hard for me. could only beat it with beast or wolverine
