Bogota's 11th night time ciclovia (cycle path) - December 10 2009 - RCN news in English´s video

Since early evening until midnight, "Thousands of Bogotanos took over the streets to enjoy the nighttime ciclovia. RCN's Valentina Cifuentes takes you around.". More than 2 million of people among bikers and pedestrian who strolled everywhere, they enjoyed Christmas lights and the plenty of cultural events that had taken place everywhere in the city. This is the eleventh time that this mega event is held in the city since 1998 when It was set in order to promote physical activity and public health in Christmas time as well.

I lived in Bogota until 1989. It's pretty surreal hearing someone actually saying "walk home from work" in Bogota. That would have been absurd in the times when I was living there with all the muggings going on. Good to see that even an American can confidently walk the streets of Bogota at night.
