Jan Skurzynski (in the cap with the sunglasses) and her friends Joel Kaserman, Pat Folkner, and Peggy Jordan (left to right) got together for a fun jam. They sang labor songs to celebrate the publication of Gloria Skurzynski's new book, SWEAT AND BLOOD: A HISTORY OF U.S. LABOR UNIONS. The publication date is - Labor Day! See more about the book at http://myspace.com/gloriabooks. Jan and her friends are fine musicians and they sing from the heart. Since so many people are losing jobs these days, these songs will resonate with you. HAPPY LABOR DAY!

Jan, it was great to come across this video! And it was more than wonderful to hear you sing this song again.
And I saw your Mom's webpage. You sure do look like her.
After being gone from Boise since 1994, I moved back last month. Been unemployed since February! :( I'm hopeful, however. :) Wish I could get back @ HP. I went to see Gayle sing this past Friday. Sure felt good. We're friends on FB, also. Matter of fact, I just posted an old photo of the 3 of us on her wall. :)
