Main Composer: Kow Otani
Title: The Sunlit Earth
Track Number: 35
Soundtrack: Shadow of the Colossus - Grand Music

Out of the extra tracks, "The Sunlit Earth" is by far my most favorite. The intro with the piano builds great starting momentum, and to be quite honest I wouldn't have minded if this piece was played fully with the piano. Don't get me wrong; I feel that the other instruments synchronize well in certain places, but by the end of the track it just feels...somewhat bittersweet. Maybe all I'm really asking for is more length to the piece, I don't know...

You are in luck, I happen to have the soundtrack in hand now. I will happily read you the instrument list for this song. Piano/ Irish Bouzouki, Flute, Strings, Percussion, and Clarinet. This album is one of my most cherished posessions. If this or my Final Fantasy Tactics disks where damaged, I would be forced to commit seppeku.

Can you tell what the other instruments are? I can hear bass drum and tambourine for the percussion. I don't know if that's like a dulcimer or something for the string instrument...

What kind of flute is that?

This song makes me think of my dad dying for some reason. Always makes me get all misty.
