Animal Crossing: City Folk - Completing the Insect Collection

Gameplay video of Animal Crossing: City Folk for Nintendo Wii. First, I catch the giant petaltail, which was the only insect I hadn't yet caught. And the next day, I received my golden net from Mayor Tortimer. But it turned out, I had forgotten to donate an evening cicada! The first two parts of this video were recorded in September 2010. But the evening cicada wouldn't be back in season until July, so I had to wait 10 months! But July is here again, so I was finally able to catch one and complete my insect collection at the museum. I then take a brief tour of the insect room at the museum, showing off all the bugs in the game.

@maryann2573: Yeah, when I caught the giant petaltail last September, I thought I was done. Until Blathers didn't mention the insect collection being complete. I had to find a list to see what I was missing. Then I saw it was a summer bug that wouldn't be out again until July. Ugh. :P

@X7thSonX: No, they're just patterns. When Wendell the starting artist walrus visits your town, there are certain fish you give him for certain patterns. Give him the right ones and he will give you the path patterns. I recommend searching the web for ACCF Wendell Guide to see a full list.

@jvgsjeff Im sorry please forgive me I dont mean to be a pest...So you buy brick and concrete paths to lay down throughout your town? Also I would love for you to come visit my town Cody sometime Its not much to look at right now but with your help maybe I could get it whipped into shape...Id love to see your town in person too...Let me know if you would be interested in swapping info so we can visit each others towns...Im playing right now as a matter of factly....lol

How do you get those walk-through paths that you have running through your town?
