Its still a nice engine. I never said it wasn't. Its a good runner and its neat to watch......but its not proto-typical. He was ORIGINALLY arguing that it was.
And there was no more info that was said than that. I think you misunderstand what has been said here.

If you could read French, he says he was INSPIRED by heisler and climax, he didn't say it WAS a heisler or a climax. The skewed bevel gears of the climax are difficult to machine for the home builder, and anyway lots of people freelance their homebuilt model steam engines, and this is one of the nicest I've seen.
No-one likes a know-it-all, mister.
