Sharp contrast between Nithi and Tharaka

Before the final decision comes on the iron ore prospects, Tharaka Constituency is pinning its hopes on a thriving livestock industry mainly involving goats. The goats do well in the constituency's dry weather but the prolonged drought in the area is now threatening to wipe out even the hardiest of animals. The Nithi side of the county however enjoys ample rainfall and has to deal with very different challenges. NTV's Ferdinand Omondi has that tale of two constituencies.
