@aekara071 Sorry but would have Hird made it in todays game, Hhmmm, I think he could pull a pair of boots today walk out on the ground and take the 3 votes for best, people always find it hard to judge Era for Era but class and football brains are rare and the rest is just training and fitness.

Clearly as a player & a person he's the best.I know carey & ablett we're game breakers but look at the crap they did off the field.Hird could play anywhere on the ground as he could read the play & win the footy.True credit to his determination & commitment.
