this is me testing Counter strike Source on this old PC but playable, playing with some expert bots, enjoy..

specs:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual
Core Processor 4000 +
1 gb RAM
x1550 Sapphire 256

video config : 1024 x 768
all high
fraps rate : 20 - 30 fps
normal rate without fraps : 50 - 60 fps

    I only have a P4 @ 2.8 Ghz Hyper Thread, 1 GB of Ram, And a Radeon 9700. And i get that on all the same ssettings as you...

  • its not that demanding, even a low psu can handle this card

    Im getting lag in CS:S on lowest settings - The game is playable but it's constantly lagging =(.

    My specs :

    Intel duo core 2.8ghz

    ati x1550 pro 256 mb

    3 gigs of ram

    vista home basic 32 bit

  • @slaveknight Noo i'm saying that there has to be something on your pc slowing you down, your computer is way better then mine. But i get way more frames, i almost never go below 60 and on dust to im almost always in the 100's
