John Mayer Perfectly Lonely New Song! Live at Troubadour 8-9-09

this just got me even more excited for his concert

theres a reason why where the light is is his best cd! because its live and he totally kills it

if anyone knows music you know your album and your live performances will always sound and be performed differently. artists do that on purpose to give you a show when you come to a concert. john mayer said himself in an interview no one wants to come to his concerts to hear the album versions of his song and thats why he does it.

i dont think its fair to say "i wish he would have played the song like this on the album" because if he would have played all the songs before continuum came out, then no one would have liked it as much. i mean the live versions of belief are 10x better than the album version. if anyone understands what im saying

yea i no exactly what u mean, when i first heard continuum i thought it was good but nothing amazing...then i heard where the light is and i listened to nothing but that for like 2 months....in a nut shell the way this guy plays live kinda defines him

yea! he purposely holds back on the cd
and then he practices ad when he does concerts
WOOOOO he blows people away!

Why couldnt he play like this on the album lol

I'm not going to put him down with why he did this or how he that. I just know that as he plays the songs live that change and get even better. That's why he can put out a live CD and they sell. Who's doing that?
I'm just very happy to hear new songs.

He is still one of my favorite guitar players, and this new album just shows that he has a great more to offer in vocals and composing music.
