Tuvalu has the dubious distinction of being the worlds most endangered country, a Pacific Island paradise suffering from the effects of rising sea levels caused by global-warming. Does Tuvalu have a future? Is the rest of the world powerless to help the first victims of a global affliction? In Paradise Drowned we follow a nations plight against the sea.
The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) has released a report that that there is absolutely no doubt that the sea will rise about a metre in the next one hundred years because of global warming caused by industrial pollution. Yet many scientists are saying that this is quite wrong and totally misleading. The sea will not rise. This is the dilemma facing this tiny Pacific nation, perhaps the first country in the world to disappear off the face of it as the rest of the world watches. To go or to stay. For the elderly its an easy choice. Its much harder for the young.
I don't have any scientific proof or even background but the blame is of no cosequence.. The threat is real . Sad trueth is people as a whole must unite under one banner or what ever you want to call it. money and power are two things people can not be trusted with. the economy is based on trade of crude or proucts made from some formof it. And the very ritch dont give a shit if its hard on the planet . WE have all the power.

Extremely sad for the people who live there. These are the sort of videos everybody should be aware of. I can't stand the sceptics who try to attack NASA science without looking at the obvious physical evidence available. I added this to my playlist on Real Climate News here on Youtube.
Flood defenses can't help some regions which are at sea level, and I feeel there will be many more areas to flood in the coming decade. One centimetre height added to the sea can generate one metre storm waves.

There isn't anything we can do. I am not saying that we shouldn't do anything to make the world a cleaner place but global warming isn't man-made. It is the sun! The planets in our solar system are getting warmer and there isn't any man-made pollution there.
