Although I really enjoy Peter's older albums/CDs, it's a little hard to listen to all the dead stings and clinkers. I'm glad he's back, though. To hear him in his prime, check out his live album "Prime Cuts". I've run a needle through that thing. I still love "Last day at the lodge" and "Angel of Baffin Bay".
The first time I heard this was in 1980, in Alan Bangs' legendary radio programme "Night Flight". After that I became a fan of Peter Lang's, which was a difficult thing to do, since his records were fairly hard to get hold of. Now I am so glad to see that he is still playing this bit - with the same skill as 30 years ago!
thank you so much for putting these up - i have regularly searched your name here and on google.
you are a major influence on me and finally seeing you perform is like all my xmases come at once! - We had an email exchange about 10 years ago regarding the DGM label (i suggested you approach R.Fripp) - you were gracious enough to reply. - it meant a lot.
